Flavor dependence of QCD vacuum properties
The values for quark condensate and tensor susceptibility of QCD vacuum are given for different number of flavors. It is shown that, the nonperturbative aspects of QCD vacuum are strongly dependent on the number of flavors. PACS : 11.15.Tk; 11.30.Fs; 12.38.Aw; 12.38.Lg
متن کاملQuark mass dependence of two-flavor QCD
I explore the rich phase diagram of two-flavor QCD as a function of the quark masses. The theory involves three parameters, including one that is CP violating. As the masses vary, regions of both firstand second-order transitions are expected. For nondegenerate quarks, nonperturbative effects cease to be universal, leaving individual quark mass ratios with a renormalization scheme dependence. T...
متن کاملFlavor-Singlet B-Decay Amplitudes in QCD Factorization
Exclusive hadronic B-meson decays into two-body final states consisting of a light pseudoscalar or vector meson along with an η or η meson are of great phenomenological interest. Their theoretical analysis involves decay mechanisms that are unique to flavor-singlet states, such as their coupling to gluons or their “intrinsic charm” content. These issues are studied systematically in the context...
متن کاملFlavor-number dependence of QCD vacuum tensor susceptibilities
The values of quark condensate and tensor susceptibility of QCD vacuum are calculated with different number of flavors. It is shown that, the values of tensor susceptibility are obviously dependent on the flavor numbers while the flavor-number dependence of quark condensate is undetermined. متن کاملFlavor and Quark Mass Dependence of QCD Thermodynamics
We calculate the transition temperature in 2 and 3-flavor QCD using improved gauge and staggered fermion actions on lattices with temporal extent Nτ = 4. We find Tc = 173 (8) MeV and 154 (8) MeV for nf = 2 and 3, respectively. In the case of 3-flavor QCD we present evidence that the chiral critical point, i.e. the second order endpoint of the line of first order chiral phase transitions, belong...
